Chinese memory maker CXMT is reportedly preparing to raise DDR4 prices after months of aggressive discounting, as demand stabilizes and major suppliers shift focus to newer memory types.
Puget Systems expects graphics cards, network controllers, storage controllers, chassis, and coolers to see major price increases in the coming months. Eventually, it will have to pass on the cost to its customers, though in the near term it may absorb some of the added costs.
